Please allow me to give you a personal invitation to Lighthouse Baptist Church. My heart's desire as a pastor is for each and every believer to understand what it is to live in the Life of Jesus Christ. The Christian life that the Bible teaches is a life where a believer is not striving to be like Christ, but rather he is allowing Christ to live in him.
My name is Pastor Joe Risinger, I grew up nearby in Lakeville, IN. From the time I was old enough to be in the nursery, I was in a good Bible teaching church. I put my trust in Jesus Christ, turning from my sin and accepting Him as my Saviour, at an early age. I was blessed with a Christian home, and a Christian education both in high school and Bible college. Unfortunately, for many years I did not understand that my life was hidden in Jesus Christ completely. When the Lord opened my eyes to His glorious Truth of freedom in Christ, He also gave me a passion to preach the glorious message of the abundant, abiding Christ-Life.
To put it plainly, the Biblical life, the Godly life, the life that is victorious, or the life that is everything the Christian life was intended to be is not a performance but it is a Person.
I have been the pastor since 2009 at Lighthouse Baptist Church. My wife, Berta, and I have been married since 1989. We have five children, and praise to the King that all five of them are walking with the Lord.
We are praising the Lord together for His Grace, His Love, and His Mercy. There is nothing more wonderful than to be in the service of the King.
